Homestead Key Club Recognized by International Trustee

Hey Key Clubbers!

I want to commend all of you for your hard work this summer. By fundraising over $2,200 for the American Cancer Society through our Relay for Life event, the district recognized us for raising the most money for service in the month of June. Our districts International Trustee, Robert Peck, noticed this and recognized our club in his newsletter! Out of all the Key Clubs in California, Nevada, and Hawaii, our club was recognized! That is something to be proud of! So give yourself a pat on the back, and keep being awesome!

Our Daily Bread

Hey Key Clubbers!

Since Labor Day weekend is coming up, we’ll be able to volunteer at Our Daily Bread!

WHAT: Our Daily Bread is a soup kitchen that provides free lunch on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays! We volunteers will be able to help them with preparing the food, which is all donated. The food scraps then go to other nonprofit organizations and become compost, so ODB is environmentally conscious as well.

WHEN: Monday, Sept. 6, 8a.m.-11a.m.

WHERE: St. Thomas Episcopal Church; 231 South Sunset Ave., Sunnyvale 94086

We’ll be able to take 5 people, so sign up fast! Please respond by Sunday evening.

Hope everyone is excited for the new school year! We’ll have plenty of events coming at you in the future.

Thanks,

Sophie Mou
